When a player throws an Ender Pearl, EnderSniper remembers who owns that pearl and monitors projectiles around it.

What counts as a snipe?

An arrow does not necessarily need to directly hit the Ender Pearl. EnderSniper checks whether the projectile gets sufficiently close to the flying pearl.

Example

Player A throws an Ender Pearl. Player B predicts its trajectory and fires an arrow. The arrow passes close enough to the pearl.

EnderSniper detects the proximity and triggers the snipe.

When a successful snipe occurs, EnderSniper announces it in the server console.

Bedrock players may participate when connecting to a Java Paper server through a compatibility layer such as Geyser. EnderSniper itself is a Java server plugin.

Step 1 — Download

Download the latest EnderSniper JAR.

Step 2 — Find your server

Open your server's:

plugins/

Step 3 — Install

Place the JAR inside the plugins folder.

Step 4 — Start the server

Start Paper normally and look for:

[EnderSniper] Loading server plugin EnderSniper
[EnderSniper] Enabling EnderSniper
[EnderSniper] EnderSniper enabled!
            

1. Give yourself pearls

/give @s minecraft:ender_pearl 10

2. Give yourself arrows

/give @s minecraft:arrow 64

3. Throw a pearl

Throw an Ender Pearl and have another player shoot near it.

4. Check the console

A successful test should produce the EnderSniper snipe message.

Plugin doesn't appear in /plugins

1. Make sure the JAR is inside plugins/.
2. Make sure it isn't inside another folder.
3. Make sure you're running Paper.
4. Check your Minecraft version.
5. Check the server console for errors.

EnderSniper doesn't detect a pearl

• Make sure the pearl is flying.
• Make sure the projectile is an arrow.
• Try getting the arrow closer to the pearl.
• Check the server console while testing.

Does EnderSniper require a client-side mod?

No. EnderSniper runs entirely on the server.

Does it change normal Ender Pearls?

Yes. Ender Pearls become vulnerable to being sniped by nearby arrows.

Does the arrow have to directly hit the pearl?

No. The plugin uses projectile proximity rather than requiring direct collision.

Is EnderSniper a client mod?

No. It is a server-side Paper plugin.

Will it work on every Minecraft version?

Not guaranteed. The current officially tested target is Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 on Paper 26.2 with Java 25.
